Reviews
This location is a food truck near the corner of Rainey and Driskill. It’s parked outside of LP. Square cut, Detroit style-ish, thick pizza. It’s definitely one of the better pizza spots in Austin. I’ve been working my way through the menu and so far everything I’ve had has been on point.
Wait time can be a while if they are busy but it’s definitely worth it. Great for after a night of drinking or cold the next morning.
The “pizza” was a square…literally a greasy bread with what seemed like prego and microwave blob cheese on it with some pepperoni. I waited almost an hour for my order. It would have been half decent if I was drunk.
Amazing Detroit style pizza! It’s absolutely worth the wait. Also, don’t worry about the size - that little pie is more than enough. It’ll fills you up.
Also, the guy serving us was super nice and friendly. Very upfront and honest. He suggested me not to but the drink because it is overpriced and could get the same from the groceries store close by.
Last thing: it’s very hard to find parking around Rainey street, and the one on the end is very expensive - rates start from $18.00 for the first hour. So I’d suggest order it online and have a person pick it up while someone else drives around. Otherwise, just pick it up from other locations available in town. Definitely order ahead to skip the 15 plus minutes of wait.
Super recommended!
I just want to say WOW! I am here visiting from Idaho, and this pizza place was right around the corner from the place I’m staying and decided to give it a try. This is hands down the BEST pizza I have had. Not only was it so delicious, but the accommodations they have for people who have allergies is AMAZING. Most definitely recommended this place!
The pizza truck is nestled in an upbeat outside/inside bar with games and music. The pizza was incredible. The Bobo is out of this world.
I have visited this truck twice and on both occasions the pizza was awesome! It truly is a deep dish pizza with a well cooked base and a crispy edge. The sauce is flavoursome and the cheese is delicious. Both pizza's were the Herbivore - …
Cool place! Great Location! Unforgettable drinks and pizza!
It's been two long days since I have eaten their Deep Dish Pizza, and I'm still thinking about it.
Chicago Style pizza, perfect amount of crust to not have to wait an hour for it, too. Sauce on the top, perfect amount of cheese for gooey-ness. I should have gotten an extra for later.
The drinks also stand out. Rainey Street bars are known for making their drinks special, but the one they made me was literally FIRE. (They lit it on fire) I ordered the Mai Tai, and it was delicious. I would suggest requesting it without the coconut flakes, though.
The music was good. There was a Caribbean vibe mixed with hip-hop and current music on the night we were there.
It is a small place at the Fairmont end of Rainey Street, so if you are making your way down, start here or end here. The pizza will be a great way to start or end your night.
Good food truck location tucked away inside a bar so make sure you don’t miss it, and are prepared for the potential of loud music and drunken dining companions. We didn’t expect the loud music but the DJ was really good so we weren’t …
